It turned into a scavenger hunt of sorts and the days when a classic car was spotted were very rewarding, in a kid in a candy store way. Looking for them created an awareness of surroundings that was needed in this distracted filled world that we all find ourselves in these years.
Every car in this series was found exactly where its owner parked it — driveways and carports from Brooklyn to Palm Springs, Princeton to the Catskills — shot as-is, never staged. The series started as a habit more than a project: once you start looking for a forgotten Buick Riviera or a faded Ford F-150, the city doesn't let you stop noticing them.
